1. Cookies

The SFC websites use cookies. Cookies are small text files stored by your web browser on your computer. They are used to recognize users who have already visited SFC websites and to improve the services provided by SFC websites. Most of these files are deleted when you leave SFC websites.

However, cookies may also serve to transfer information allowing for the automatic recognition of your device, through the use of your IP address stored in cookies. This information serves only to improve our services and your access to SFC websites.

SFC websites use the following three categories of cookie: essential, functional, and analytical.

Essential cookies: These are necessary for the SFC websites to work properly. Without them it would be considerably harder or entirely impossible to browse SFC websites. These cookies do not store information after the user leaves SFC websites.

Functional cookies: These serve to optimize your user experience and store information about users’ settings such as browser type, language, font, etc., also after the user leaves SFC websites.

Analytical cookies: These recognise and count the number of visitors to our websites but also help analyze the statistics of error messages. The data collected by analytical cookies does not refer to specific individuals but is instead used for statistical purposes and to improve the efficiency of the website and enhance its users’ browsing experience.

You can disable cookies by changing your browser’s settings. However, some of the SFC website’s functionality may be lost, in which case we recommend you check the cookies settings in your browser.

2. Server data

For technical reasons, the following data sent by your internet browser to us will be collected:

  • Type and version of  your browser
  • The website from which you came to the SFC websites (URL referral)
  • The webpages visited on our site
  • The date and time of your visit
  • The IP address from which you visited our site

These data are anonymous and will be stored, but not in association with any other data that you may have provided, and therefore it is not possible to link the data to any specific person. The data is only used for statistical purposes to improve the SFC websites and our services.

3. Google Analytics

SFC websites use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.

Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze the way the SFC websites are used.

These data are used only for the purpose of analyzing traffic on SFC websites. Google Inc. never matches these data with any other data you may have provided to Google Inc.

You can disable cookies by changing your browser’s settings. However, some of the SFC website’s functionality may be lost, in which case we recommend you check the cookies settings in your browser.

4. Direct contact

SFC websites offer users the facility to contact us directly by e-mail, in which case the data provided by the user is only stored for the purpose of allowing communication between the user and SFC. None of the data will be provided to third parties, or matched with other data that may have been collected by other SFC websites.

5. Newsletter and use of MailChimp

Consent for sending newsletters

SFC websites offer the option to subscribe to an SFC newsletter to receive regular updates on our activities in developing professional fundraising. To be able to send you the newsletter we need your consent to process your e-mail address, name and surname. Beyond this information, you may voluntarily decide whether you want to provide us with your telephone number and address.

You express your consent by agreeing to the following: “The Slovak Fundraising Centre will use the personal data provided through this form to keep in touch with you and to provide you with updates on SFC’s fundraising and leadership development activities. Please choose how you wish to remain in touch with us:

  • By e-mail
  • By telephone
  • By post

You can change your preferences anytime by clicking on the links, either “change settings” or “unsubscribe”, included at the foot of each e-mail received from us, or you can notify us by e-mail at info@fundraising.sk. We will treat your personal data with due respect to your rights. You can find more details on how we process your data here: www.fundraising.sk/privacy. By clicking on the link “Subscribe” you give your consent to process your personal data in accordance to above provisions.”

To record your consent to receive our newsletter and to the processing of your personal data necessary for that purpose, we will record your IP address, name and surname, and the date and time at which you gave consent. This is necessary to comply with GDPR.

The data is not matched with other data that may have been collected by other SFC websites.

Your consent to our processing of your personal data for the purpose of sending you the newsletter is recorded by MailChimp.

Sending the newsletter under legitimate interest

In certain cases, SFC may send you the newsletter under own legitimate interest. We do not have your explicit consent to send you the newsletter, but we had collected your personal data for a different purpose, for example when you attended one of our events, supported our campaign or donated to us. In such cases it is in the interest of both you and us to keep you informed of the results of our activities, or what use we made of your donation. We are a transparent organisation, and it is therefore in our interest to inform all our supporters and donors of our activities and the achieved results.

Just as in the case with your consent, we will process your name and surname and e-mail, and, if you provide them, your telephone number and address. Again, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Sending the newsletter via MailChimp

The newsletter is sent to subscribers by the MailChimp application. MailChimp is a service provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404, Atlanta, GA 30318, USA.

The data collected from subscribers of the newsletter and their consent to the processing of their personal data will be stored on a server operated by The Rocked Science Group, LLC in compliance with GDPR and EU-US Privacy Shield.

You can find more on MailChimp’s privacy policy at: http://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.

More information on EU-US Privacy Shield is available on the European Commission website: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/data-transfers-outside-eu/eu-us-privacy-shield_en.

You may modify your preferred method of receiving information on SFC activities at any time and with no consequences. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter or withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time, by clicking on the unsubscribe link included at the foot of every e-mail we send you. You can also notify us of your decision by e-mail at info@fundraising.sk.

Monitoring the newsletter

Our newsletter e-mails contain “web bugs” – tracking devices that allow us to know if and when the e-mail was opened, what hyperlinks the user clicked on, etc.

We store these data for the purpose of improving the newsletter so that it better meets the wishes and interests of subscribers. The data are also used to send personalised newsletters.

After the user has unsubscribed from the newsletter, we shall stop processing these data.

6. Individual donor and the Darujme.sk application

Through SFC websites all those interested in fundraising and leadership can support our activities with a financial gift. When you donate, your personal data will be processed, specifically your name and surname, e-mail, the amount of donation, and your bank account information, and, if you so wish, your telephone number. We must process these data to comply with our statutory and contractual obligations. We must process these data as long as SFC exists, or as long as the legal obligation lasts.

To give/receive financial gifts we use the Darujme application operated by Centrum pre filantropiu, n.o., Baštová 5, 811 03 Bratislava, IČO: 318 21 71. The processing of personal data by Centrum pre filantropiu, n.o. as well as the use of the Darujme application are governed by their own rules. Those are available at: https://darujme.sk/pravidla-a-podmienky
